How to Reach Chatakpur

By Flight
Bagdogra is the one and the only airport nearby at a distance of 61 km from Chatakpur. Board a flight to this airport and after landing, all you have to do is hire a car to reach the hamlet comfortably. (Note- Car will be included in the tour package).
By Train
The nearest railway station of Chatakpur is Ghoom which is located at a distance of just 20 km. This nearest station is connected by Toy Train with New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri Junction railway stations at a distance of about 75 km.
By Road
A car can be hired from all its nearby destinations like Darjeeling, NJP, Siliguri, or Bagdogra Airport. From NJP, Siliguri or Bagdogra, go towards Kurseong via Matigara - Kurseong Rd/ Subash Ghisingh Marg and NH110 to reach the village.

Best time to Visit Chatakpur

Even though travelers can choose any time to visit this hamlet, the months of November to February (winter season) is considered to be the best time to visit Chatakpur due to its cold weather. The moths of summer are also ideal to visit the hamlet if you want to beat the heat of the plain. However, planning a trip to this village in the months of monsoon should be avoided because of the frequent landslide.
